Rishikesh, Uttrakhand

We Went to Rishikesh for Peace… Obviously We Chose Chaos Instead 🌊😭

Rishikesh was sold to me as a “peaceful weekend by the Ganga.” Very cute concept. Except I went with Aanya, Kabir and Tara, so peace lasted approximately till we checked into the hotel. 😭 The first evening…

Rishikesh was sold to me as a “peaceful weekend by the Ganga.”

Very cute concept.

Except I went with Aanya, Kabir and Tara, so peace lasted approximately till we checked into the hotel. 😭

The first evening was actually giving wholesome — walking around Tapovan, finding a cute café, sitting near the river and collectively announcing that we should “travel like this more often.”

By the next morning, everyone had forgotten this spiritual version of themselves. 😂

We spent the day around the river, did our rafting experience, screamed unnecessarily, blamed Kabir for everything even when it wasn’t his fault and came back looking like four people who had seriously overestimated their energy levels.

Later we did the proper Rishikesh scenes — Ram Jhula side, cafés, little shops, chai stops and evening by the Ganga.

And honestly? Sitting there after such a chaotic day was probably my favourite part.

Rishikesh somehow gave us both personalities in one trip — completely unhinged during the day and “wow life is actually beautiful” by sunset. 😭🤍

Would definitely go back.

Maybe with slightly calmer people.

Actually no, that sounds boring.

Favourite Memory: Going from screaming all morning to sitting silently beside the Ganga in the evening like we were suddenly very sorted human beings.

My final verdict: Rishikesh really said: heal your soul in the evening, lose your mind with your friends in the morning. 🌊
