The journey
Our trip to Mumbai was full of energy, beautiful sea views, local experiences, and simple moments that became special because we shared them together. The city felt fast and lively from the moment we arrived, but between its busy streets and crowded places, we found peaceful corners where we could slow down and enjoy each other’s company.
We started by exploring South Mumbai, walking around the Gateway of India and taking in the view of the Arabian Sea. The historic buildings, busy streets, and constant movement made the city feel alive. We spent time exploring Colaba Causeway, looking through local shops, trying street food, and picking up a few small souvenirs.
One of our favourite parts of the trip was spending the evening at Marine Drive. We sat by the sea, enjoyed the cool breeze, and watched the city lights slowly appear along the coastline. It was a simple moment, but it became one of the memories we enjoyed the most.
We also explored the colourful streets of Bandra, visited cafés, and walked around places filled with art, music, and local culture. The sea-facing roads and lively neighbourhoods gave us a different view of Mumbai. We enjoyed trying new food, discovering small cafés, and taking our time instead of rushing through the city.
Another memorable experience was visiting the Elephanta Caves. The ferry ride across the water gave us a peaceful break from Mumbai’s busy roads, and exploring the ancient rock-cut caves added history and adventure to our journey.
Our trip was not about staying in luxury hotels or visiting every famous attraction. It was about experiencing Mumbai together—walking through busy streets, sharing local food, enjoying sea views, and finding calm moments in a city that never seems to slow down.
We returned with photographs, stories, and memories of sunsets, city lights, and small experiences that made Mumbai feel special to both of us.
