The journey
Our trip to Jodhpur was filled with colourful streets, royal history, local flavours, and beautiful moments we shared together. From the moment we entered the city, the blue-painted houses, old buildings, and views of the massive Mehrangarh Fort made us feel like we had arrived somewhere completely different.
We spent our first day exploring the narrow blue lanes around the old city. Walking through these streets was one of our favourite experiences because every corner looked unique. We discovered small shops, local cafés, traditional houses, and quiet viewpoints while taking our time and enjoying the city together.
The highlight of our trip was visiting Mehrangarh Fort. As we walked through its grand gates, courtyards, and historic rooms, we learned about Jodhpur’s royal past. The view of the blue city from the fort was breathtaking and became one of our favourite memories from the trip.
We also visited Jaswant Thada, where the peaceful surroundings and beautiful marble architecture gave us a quiet break after exploring the fort. Later, we spent time near the city’s historic stepwell and enjoyed local food at small cafés around the old streets.
In the evenings, we explored the lively markets near the Clock Tower, tried traditional Rajasthani dishes, and looked through local handicrafts and souvenirs. The city became even more beautiful after sunset, with the fort glowing above the blue streets.
Our trip to Jodhpur was simple, comfortable, and full of meaningful experiences. We did not rush to cover every attraction. Instead, we explored the city slowly, enjoyed local food, discovered hidden streets, and created memories in places that felt special to both of us.
Jodhpur gave us more than beautiful photographs. It gave us royal stories, colourful streets, peaceful moments, and a journey that we will always remember together.
