The journey
I almost cancelled this trip twice. Glad I did not.
Alfama climbs slower than Google Maps suggests. Belém was crowded and still worth the pasteis. We spent one evening at LX Factory pretending we lived there, then rode the tram like tourists again.
Photos never catch the noise: tram bells, tiled courtyards, and someone practicing fado with the windows open.
Logged so the next version of me remembers what the map forgot.
