Jaipur — A Royal Family Getaway

The journey

Our family trip to Jaipur was a perfect blend of history, culture, delicious food, and quality time together. After weeks of planning, we finally packed our bags and headed to the Pink City. The moment we entered Jaipur, the colourful streets, grand forts, and beautiful architecture made us feel like we had stepped into Rajasthan's royal past.

We started our journey by exploring the magnificent **Amber Fort**. Walking through its grand courtyards, beautifully decorated halls, and historic pathways was an experience everyone in the family enjoyed. From the top of the fort, the views of the surrounding hills and the city were absolutely breathtaking.

As we continued exploring, we visited the **City Palace** and admired its royal architecture and museums. Standing in front of the iconic **Hawa Mahal** was another memorable moment. We spent plenty of time taking family photographs, although getting everyone to smile and look at the camera at the same time turned out to be the biggest challenge of the day.

One of the highlights of our trip was spending an evening at **Chokhi Dhani**. The lively atmosphere, traditional folk dances, puppet shows, camel rides, and cultural performances made it feel like we had stepped into a traditional Rajasthani village. We enjoyed participating in the activities, laughed together during the performances, and ended the evening with an authentic Rajasthani thali. Sharing that meal while sitting together became one of the most memorable moments of the trip.

We also explored Jaipur's colourful local markets, where everyone had their own shopping list. Some were looking for traditional clothes, others wanted handmade handicrafts or jewellery, and of course, bargaining became a family activity in itself. Every shop seemed to have something unique to offer.

Before returning home, we visited **Nahargarh Fort** to watch the sunset over Jaipur. As the city slowly lit up below us, we spent a few quiet moments enjoying the view and talking about our favourite memories from the trip.

Jaipur gave our family much more than beautiful photographs. It gave us time to laugh together, explore Rajasthan's rich heritage, enjoy local food, and create memories that we will always cherish. It was a journey filled with colours, culture, and moments that brought us even closer.
