Coorg — Coffee, Campfires and Crazy Friends

The journey

Our trip to Coorg was one of those journeys where the destination was beautiful, but the company made it unforgettable. After weeks of planning in our group chat, we finally packed our bags and escaped to the hills for a few days away from work, studies, and daily routines.

The drive to Coorg itself felt like the beginning of the adventure. The roads slowly changed from busy highways to winding mountain routes surrounded by forests and coffee plantations. We kept stopping for tea, roadside snacks, and photos, which made the journey much longer than expected—but none of us complained because every stop turned into another memory.

After checking into our homestay, we spent the evening sitting together, enjoying the cool weather and talking for hours. What started as a casual conversation quickly turned into endless laughter as everyone began sharing embarrassing stories and pulling each other's legs. We planned to sleep early so we could wake up on time the next morning, but instead, we stayed awake until late, laughing about absolutely everything.

The next day was all about exploring Coorg. We walked through beautiful coffee plantations, visited waterfalls, and stopped at scenic viewpoints that overlooked endless green hills. Every place looked like a postcard, and we probably spent more time deciding how to pose for photos than actually admiring the views. Even after taking dozens of group pictures, someone would always say, "One more... this one wasn't good!"

One of the funniest moments happened during our visit to **Abbey Falls**. We were trying to capture a slow-motion video of everyone walking together like a movie scene, but one friend slipped slightly on the wet path. He didn't fall, but his dramatic attempt to save himself had all of us laughing so hard that we completely forgot about the video. Instead, we ended up recording each other laughing for the next ten minutes.

Our evenings became the best part of the trip. We gathered around a small campfire at the homestay, played games, listened to music, shared ghost stories, and enjoyed local food. Nobody wanted the night to end because those conversations felt better than scrolling through our phones or worrying about the next day's plans.

Before leaving Coorg, we visited Raja's Seat and watched the clouds slowly cover the hills. It was one of those quiet moments where everyone stopped talking and simply admired the view. Even though the trip lasted only a few days, it gave us memories that felt much bigger.

We returned home with bags full of Coorg coffee, hundreds of photos, and a phone gallery filled with funny videos that still make us laugh. Coorg gave us beautiful landscapes, peaceful weather, and unforgettable moments—but the best part of the journey was sharing it with friends.
