This Goa trip started exactly how every responsible trip starts…

At 1 AM in our group chat with someone saying, "Guys Goa chale?"

And somehow, instead of ignoring it like every other random plan, we actually booked the tickets. 😭

Three days later, we were in Goa.

No proper itinerary. Barely any planning. Just one hotel booking, a shared Notes page nobody bothered to read, and enough confidence to believe we'd figure everything out once we reached.

And honestly? Best decision.

The first thing we did after checking in was rent scooters. This immediately created another problem because suddenly every person in the group believed they were the official trip navigator.

Google Maps: "Turn right."

My friend: "No no, I know this road."

Twenty minutes later…

Cows. Fields. Absolutely no beach.

But somehow those wrong turns became one of my favourite parts of Goa. We'd discover random little roads surrounded by coconut trees, tiny cafés we'd never heard about, and beaches that weren't even on our original list.

Our mornings were an absolute scam.

Every night we'd say, "Tomorrow everyone ready by 8:30."

At 8:30 the next morning, one person would be sleeping, another would be showering, and somebody would casually ask, "Breakfast mein kya hai?"

We never left before 10.

Eventually we stopped pretending.

Most afternoons were spent beach hopping. We'd reach a beach saying we'd stay for an hour and somehow still be sitting there three hours later—ordering fries, clicking pictures, talking absolute nonsense, and watching people attempt water sports.

One day we decided WE should try them too.

The confidence before starting? 100/10.

The screaming five minutes later? Also 100/10.

Nobody was allowed to discuss it afterwards. 😂

We went to **Chapora Fort** for sunset because obviously we needed *that* Goa picture. We climbed all the way up, sweating and complaining, only for one friend to announce:

"Guys… my phone is at 2%."

The same phone we were depending on for pictures.

Friendship was seriously tested that evening.

Another day we explored **Fontainhas**, and suddenly everyone became a fashion photographer. Every colourful wall needed a picture. Every balcony was "so aesthetic." A ten-minute walk somehow became an hour-long photoshoot.

Evenings were my favourite though.

We'd shower, get ready, find some nice beachside place, order way too much food, and sit there talking until nobody realised what time it was.

There were no deep travel revelations.

Mostly gossip.

A LOT of gossip.

And laughing at stories we'd already heard twenty times.

Our last evening was surprisingly quiet. We grabbed some food and sat near the beach watching the sunset. Nobody was rushing anywhere because, for once, we didn't actually have another plan.

And somewhere between all the stupidity, wrong turns, arguments about playlists, stolen fries, terrible pictures and late mornings, I realised…

This was exactly what I wanted from Goa.

Not some perfect Pinterest itinerary.

Just a few days where nobody cared what time it was.

With people who can make even getting completely lost ridiculously fun.

Would I travel with them again?

Obviously.

Would I let them plan the trip?

Absolutely not. 😭
