The journey
The plan was to keep things comfortable rather than squeezing every possible attraction into four days. We spent some time exploring Ubud, enjoyed the beaches around Nusa Dua and Seminyak, watched the sunset in Uluwatu, and left enough room in the schedule for lazy breakfasts, good food and random family conversations.
Ubud gave us the green, peaceful side of Bali, while the beach areas brought the classic holiday feeling. The best part was that everyone in the family found something to enjoy. Some wanted sightseeing, some wanted shopping, and some were perfectly happy sitting at the hotel with a drink and doing absolutely nothing.
By the end of the trip, we had a camera roll full of family photos, a suitcase with a few unnecessary purchases, and that familiar feeling of wishing the holiday had been two days longer.
