Explore Hampi, the magnificent capital of the Vijayanagara Empire and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander among boulder hills and temple complexes such as Virupaksha and the iconic stone chariot at Vittala, cross to the quieter side near Virupapuragaddi and enjoy sunset views over the Tungabhadra.
Travel plan:
Day 1 – Arrival and Hampi Bazaar
Arrive via Hospet / Toranagallu (Ballari) or Hubballi connections. Check in and explore Virupaksha Temple, Hampi Bazaar and Hemakuta Hill for sunset.
Day 2 – Royal Centre and Vittala
Full-day heritage circuit covering the Royal Enclosure, Lotus Mahal, Elephant Stables, Vittala Temple with its stone chariot and musical pillars, and riverside monuments. Optional coracle ride on the Tungabhadra where operating.
Day 3 – Anjanadri or leisure and departure
Optional morning visit to Anjanadri Hill (Hanuman temple) for panoramic views, then transfer for your onward journey.
