About this trip
Spend four days in Dharamshala and upper McLeod Ganj, home to the Tibetan government-in-exile and a gateway to the Dhauladhar range. Visit the Dalai Lama Temple complex, walk to Bhagsu Nag and waterfall, explore Dharamkot cafés and attempt the scenic day trek toward Triund if weather and fitness allow.
Travel plan:
Day 1 – Arrival in McLeod Ganj
Arrive via Gaggal (Dharamshala) Airport or road from Pathankot / Delhi. Check in and stroll the temple road and local market.
Day 2 – Monasteries and Bhagsu
Visit Tsuglagkhang (Dalai Lama Temple), Tibet Museum area and Namgyal Monastery surroundings. Continue to Bhagsu Nag Temple and waterfall. Evening free in McLeod Ganj cafés.
Day 3 – Triund day trek or Dharamkot
Guided day trek toward Triund meadow (weather and fitness dependent) or a lighter day exploring Dharamkot trails and viewpoints. Overnight back in McLeod Ganj.
Day 4 – Departure
Breakfast and transfer to the airport or onward road connection.
